Membership in The Scrotery is not granted lightly. The Council deliberates in shadow. Sponsors are chosen with utmost care. Only those who demonstrate true understanding of the principles may be considered.
The Path to Membership
The journey to becoming a member of The Scrotery follows an ancient and carefully guarded process:
The Petition
A prospective member submits a formal petition for consideration. This document is reviewed by The Council.
The Deliberation
The Council meets in private to assess the worthiness of the petitioner. This process may take weeks or months.
The Sponsor
If deemed worthy, a current member is assigned as sponsor. The sponsor guides the initiate through preparation.
The Hanging Path
The initiate undertakes The Hanging Path—a symbolic journey culminating in the Initiation Ceremony.
The Initiation
The initiate dons the ceremonial robe, takes the Sacred Sag Oath, and receives the blessing of the Order.
Requirements for Consideration
Those who seek membership must demonstrate:
- Understanding of the four sacred principles
- Commitment to the philosophy of mutual support
- Courage to carry one's burdens with dignity
- Respect for the traditions of the Order
- Discretion regarding the sacred mysteries
