Four sacred principles guide every member of The Scrotery.
Balance
The two orbs represent eternal duality—strength and vulnerability, courage and caution, stillness and motion. Balance is achieved not through eliminating opposing forces, but through their harmonious coexistence.
"Two in weight, yet one in purpose." Members maintain equilibrium in all things. The burdens we carry must be balanced with care.
Bravery
Courage to endure discomfort with grace and walk the path of resilience. Bravery is not the absence of fear, but the commitment to move forward despite it.
To carry one's burdens openly. To acknowledge vulnerability without shame. To support others even when in need of support.
"The coward hides his burdens. The brave man bears them with dignity." — Sir Reginald Ballsworth III
Support
The foundation upon which The Scrotery was built. When the Orbs spoke to Sir Reginald, their message was clear: mutual support is divine law. What we hold up, holds us up in turn.
"No burden is carried alone if brothers stand together."
Members support one another through shared wisdom, companionship, encouragement, and presence in ceremony.
The Blessed Duality
Two orbs, one purpose. Two forces, one harmony. All meaningful things exist in pairs: light and shadow, action and rest, giving and receiving, ascent and descent.
The symbol of The Scrotery—two orbs suspended in harmony—represents this eternal truth. They are separate yet united, distinct yet inseparable. Neither can exist without the other.
"Seek not to choose between the orbs, but to honor both equally. For in their duality lies the secret of wholeness." — Canon Theodore Scratchley
Those who seek to join must demonstrate understanding of these principles and commitment to living by them.
